These documents set forth policies and practices that guide the review and approval of zoning, subdivision and annexation applications to ensure proposed uses and projects are consistent with current policies and practices.

Comprehensive Plan

Presently, the City is in the process of updating its Comprehensive Plan and sub-area plans, and expects to conclude the process in 2019. The current Palos Heights Comprehensive Plan was approved by the City Council in June 2008, establishes a vision for the future of the City, and sets forth goals and objectives to accomplish that vision.

Harlem Avenue Corridor Sub-Area Plan

The Harlem Avenue Corridor Sub-Area Plan was approved by the City Council in 2008, establishes a vision for the future of the Harlem Avenue Corridor, and sets forth goals and objectives to accomplish that vision.

Lake Katherine Master Development Plan

The Lake Katherine Nature Center and Botanic Gardens Master Development Plan was approved by the City Council in 2012, establishes a vision for the future of Lake Katherine, and sets forth goals and objectives to accomplish that vision.
